Artifact Collection Workshop

As part of the Artist-in-Residence (AiR) at Arts Mission Oak Cliff, Victoria Ferrell-Ortiz will be engaging the community by hosting workshops and an exhibit. The “Este Lugar Importa” Exhibit’s purpose is to commemorate the advocacy and integrity of automotive businesses and ensure they have a place in Oak Cliff’s future.

We are asking for community submissions of photos highlighting the Latino/a/x history of auto shops in the Oak Cliff barrio. This might look like photos or memorabilia of:

-When you first opened your shop

-Special events & important milestones

-Organization meetings & advocacy
