AMOC is proud to offer two Artist-in-Residence (AiR) programs in 2024: New Works & Community Gallery Series.

The AiR Program

The Artist-in-Residence program awards six (6) local, independent artists or arts groups/organizations a three (3) month residency in our beautifully restored, historic church-turned-arts space each year. AMOC is invested in the development, care, and support of emerging local artists. The residency program gives local artists the time and space to create new work directly in Oak Cliff, TX. During their 3-month residency, each artist or arts group/organization is given access to the creative spaces and resources that AMOC has to offer in order to support the creation and presentation of a new work.

Each residency will culminate in a Final Offering (performance, exhibition, etc.) that will be presented to the public during the last month in their residency with AMOC. Residents are asked to engage with the community through a workshop, master class, screening, talkback, etc. These hands-on experiences are unique to each artist’s process and contribute in varying ways to their Final Offering.

This program is supported, in part, by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and Comerica Charitable Giving.
