Mapping the In-Between w/ Chukwudi Ukonne

How did you navigate the limbo?

September 20 | 1:00pm-3:00pm | $15

September 20 | 1:00pm-3:00pm | $15

This workshop with AMOC Artist-in-Residence Chukwudi Ukonne invites participants to create personal migration maps—visual and narrative artifacts that trace emotional, geographical, psychological, and spiritual movements that have shaped their lives. It is rooted in the idea that our journeys are rarely linear, and that the "in-between" spaces—of transition and identity shift—deserve to be named and honored.

Participants will respond to and interpret guided prompts primarily through writing, but drawing, painting and craft are also welcome. Each person will create a narrative "map" of their own journey, with the opportunity for live storytelling and to be featured in a publication.

What to Bring:

  • Whatever you feel comfortable writing or drawing in (phone, tablet, laptop, sheets of paper, etc)
