Pizza Chapel Theatre Company Presents: The Machine

One Night. One Prompt. Infinite Interpretations.

The Machine

July 25 | 6:00 pm | Pay What You Can

Pizza Chapel Theatre Company presents THE MACHINE, a one-night arts event celebrating experimentation, collaboration, and the creation of new work.

Their newest project, THE MACHINE, brings together theatre companies, performance artists, and independent creators from across DFW to create and premiere original short works inspired by a shared theme. This year's theme: cults.

Throughout the evening, audiences are invited to explore an artist market featuring local makers, experience a series of original short performances developed specifically for the event, and gather in community through conversation, art, music, and shared curiosity. Drawing inspiration from everywhere—from Jonestown and internet fandoms to fitness classes, faith communities, and personal experiences—participating artists will create unique responses to the same prompt. The result is a one-night-only event featuring entirely new work.

The evening begins at 6:00 PM, when doors open for audiences to browse the artist market, connect with participating artists, and enjoy concessions. Beginning at 7:30 PM, original performances will unfold throughout the night in three performance blocks, separated by intermissions that invite audiences back into the market space for additional shopping, conversation, and interactive experiences. Following the final performance, guests are invited to stay for a DJ set and community after-party, with music, vendors, and celebration continuing until 10:30 PM.

Produced by Pizza Chapel Theatre Company and funded in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture through the ArtsActivate Program.
