Weretree: A Pinocchio Story Workshop Reading

Created by Anastasia Muñoz, Seth Magill, and Kirschen Wolford, Weretree: A Pinocchio Story is a show that merges puppetry, movement, and live music to present an original production to Oak Cliff families. Pinocchio is real. He is alive... and not so well on a subway platform in modern day Philadelphia. Spanning centuries, continents, and mythic landscapes, this enchanting, ensemble-driven play reveals Pinocchio’s true origin story and magical journey from tree to puppet to boy to man-- and back. As his extraordinary life flashes before our eyes, we discover that sometimes it takes more than a lifetime to learn the value of your gifts.

Workshop Readings are scheduled for June 23rd and 24th, 2023 at Arts Mission Oak Cliff. Stay tuned to learn more about the work and get a behind the scenes look into the creative process.
